I'd hate to be responsible for your equip, but anything that has a transformer plug should function in Europe with a simple plug adapter. My battery charger for my Powerbook, for example, works fine there, as do my hard drive and CD burner and so forth. I did not, however, bring any lighting gear with me save AA battery operated stuff (my Vivitar). Everything I needed in terms of lighting I had to rent, which was a big, big pain in the ass. But nothing got fried.
