It has been a good camera. Most of the stuff on my port is done with it as I've not gotten to do much Glam with the D300. I have printed 20x30 with it with my lab. A good exposure is key there (just like any other camera/photo). I also tend to buy better glass so that helps, too.
It is a little noisy and does have problems with color abberations in high contrast situations. Also, it has a smaller preview and is shorter on features.
I've considered turning it into a IR camera with a modification.
If you have Canon with much investments in lenses, I would stick there, since you would have to buy all new glass if you switch.
