Actually I can remember gas about 18 cents a gallon, back when we moved to Arkansas in 1952.
Here is an old Plymouth (I think)... I would guess 1947. Plymouths, Dodges, and Chryslers were never popular with kids back then.. they were "old folks" cars.
Could probably fill 'er up with gas for about $5.
