I am about to purchase my first DSLR, I've made my choice of a Canon Rebel Xti (400D). But I'm new and reading up on lenses. I found a web site that has the best prices I've seen for the Xti and they offer a lot of different package deals.

Could some of you take a look at the package deals to give me some suggestions? I would like to go with 2 lenses a long and short if I can afford it or should I just get a better quality all around lens?
