I have three of those cheap Hong Kong wireless triggers that I bought on eBay and have been using them to fire my Alien Bees and my Norman power pack system for the past two years - without any problems. I shoot a couple thousand images a month and just this month replaced my first battery. In my opinion and actual use ... they are the best investment I've made. The only issue you might encounter would be if you're shooting in a location with other photographers since the Hong Kong transmitters don't offer multiple channels. other than that, you can't go wrong with the eBay wireless transmitters. Just make sure you buy the "in line" receivers, not the battery versions.
