Your JPG compression is pretty high. While you got a nice small file, it's really hurting your image quality significantly. For example the edges of the tape appear blurry due to the compression...and was there really a black blob on her left eye?
I bet your original is much better than this jpg shows! Again, I like the shot -- it's fun. Great model!

The compression problem is more likely the G1 setting that compresses to produce the post size image. Here is the original as it was uploaded:

As you can see it is still the same size, but was reduced from 120,000 bytes to 27274. This is obviously too much compression and that is why it is often wise to make the link point to the uploaded image if it is around 400x600 as this one is. You do that, as I've pointed out before, by editing out the "/large" part of the URL that is produced by G1.
But even with the original, I think the real problem is just a general lack of contrast and I don't think the focus is right on --- thus the image suffers. Anyway, compare the original and the compressed and I think you'll see that.
