There's another irony in all this - the Italian media seem to be very anti-American military with regards to the current (mis)adventures in Afghanistan and Iraq - is this just another way of tweaking our noses, or?
But, if you're suggesting that just because over 50,000 troops died in Vietnam that no one can use a faux military setting because it's disrespectful, then wouldn't that seem to rule out any shots that show New York's east river view of Manhattan as well, for the same reason? Somehow, I don't think that's going to work.
