Like all professions, you have some great ones and bad ones, problem is, many people don't do research. Not to mention, every woman's body is anatomically different, doctors can only work with what they have and obviously their skills, which normally improve over time--no surgeon is born a surgeon, it's an acquired skill like photography.
I'm not making excuses, as there are many "butchers" out there, but there are also geniune doctors too. It's almost like photography, you might be a pro shooter with great skills, but you may not have the greatest model to photograph, so you do what you can for her, utlimately it's a self-esteem issue for the subject. You also have new pro photographers who have the skills but lack experience, and no matter how photogenic the model is, the end result is either beginner's luck or beginners
compromise.
As noted before, the best surgeons (doctors) are those with experience and skill, obviously they cost more (just like photographers). However, those that cost more came from the same roots as in every profession--a beginner--and every beginner usually practices on someone, even in the medical field.
