Hello Everyone!

I have an upcoming event to photograph (wedding), and know the reception hall will have 18ft ceilings and be candle-lit at best.

I wanted to explore options for adding "ambient" light, and thought something like Profoto's globe modifiers could work if they're set up high on lightstands.
Check out: http://www.profoto.com/products/comp...life/proglobe/

Trouble is, I don't have Profoto gear. =P

I go to Home Depot often and know they have replacement globes for indoor lighting fixtures. After measuring the collar on my Integra strobes, I was happy to go to Home Depot and find an 8" acryllic dome that fits very nicely! =) They had glass variations, but the plastic is definately safer... so long as I remember not to turn on the modeling lamp =P

Here are some quick shots of the setup. Oh, the cost of the Home Depot globe was $11. The cost for a ProGlobe online after a quick Google search was $464. =)

Thanks for looking!
~DZ
