Yes - but the III has quite the image quality at higher iso's... For your stated use the 5D would be it I think if you wanted something better then your 20D.
However, both are probably overkill given you don't really need high iso/low-light use and you don't need high resolution. A 20D or 30D are going to give you what you need.
