The are only two differences between the FX and BX line:

1) The FX line only handles european voltages whereas the BX line is multi-voltage and thus usable everywhere.

2) The FX units have 100W modelling lamps whereas the BX units have 150W modelling lamps.

Otherwise the two lines perform identically. I would strongly recommend the 400 w/s heads as opposed to the 100 w/s heads. Note that the 2 Go sets don't include light stands. If you purchase the accessory umbrella stand set you'll get 2 light stands and umbrellas, which should round out your portable kit quite nicely.

Elinchom makes excellent lights and the kits are a great way to get started, but if I were going to buy one of these kits I'd want to supplement them with bigger softboxes or umbrellas. A 60 x 60 cm softbox is too small (in my opinion) if you want soft light for anything compositionally bigger than a head shot. The 83cm umbrellas would be a little better for what you want to shoot, but not by much. I think you'd be better served by a couple of 100 x 100 cm Rotalux softboxes, the 135 cm Rotalux octagonal, or umbrellas in the 105 to 150 cm range. Any of these would give you a much softer light source for full-length shooting. These options also keep your kit portable. The Rotalux softboxes are a breeze to set up and take down - they collapse just like an umbrella.
