When I was doing DJ work, I carried a million dollar policy on myself. It covered anything I did...even driving a rental car. If I stepped on someones toe or dropped a piece of equipment, etc. it was covered. Cost was about $450 a year. Of course this was a 24/7 deal, so no matter where I was or what I was doing, I was covered. The only thing I could figure not covered was if pictures did not turn out.
