I don't know about CS but CS2 has the "Bridge" that is the new file browser...
I just select the RAW images I want and then Click Tools-Photoshop-Image Processor = you will be given some options and then hit GO...
If you are trying to run an action and dont want to click after each file opens... remember to check the Supress open dialog box... and this will bypass that window...

As for where the file ends up... when you start the action you will be given an option as to where it goes... if you put the location in the action don't select anything... if not they pick the folder here...
