The transmitter does fire the remotes.

We may have to wait for Tommy to clarify. I was considering his mention of using a slider. I don't recall that the Radio remote has sliders, but rather has little up and down arrow buttons to move up or down the fstop range. Of course, its been a while since I used either remote system.
