The LG4x is a wired remote control that controls up to 4 bees. It uses normal telephone wire to connect from the controler to each light.
As for the RFTX transmitter, that sounds like some sort of a Pocket wizard type device that would mount on camera's hot shoe and fire one of the strobes. I don't recall that the LG4X will fire the strobes under camera control.
