It depends on whether or not you want a spot meter. A 1 degree spot meter is indispensible for the work that I do. By the time you buy the 358, the 1 degree spot meter attachment, and the radio module you will spend ~$450. The 558 runs ~$485, includes the radio module, and is 16 times more sensitive to light. That is, the spot meter in the 558 can read exposure as low as EV1 (f/2.0 @ ISO 100), whereas the 358 w/ 1 degree spot attachment can read exposure as low as EV5 (f/8.0 @ ISO 100).

Without the spot meter the 358 is plenty sensitive for anything you'd ever want it for. I started out with one and still keep it around as a backup.
