With a full frame camera, I would probably want to use a 70-200mm zoom or a 135mm fixed focal length, possibly a 200mm fixed focal length. With a 1.6 mutiplication factor on my 10D, I find that the 70-200mm is too long for indoor work and I usually use a 28-80mm zoom. I also have a 50mm f1.8 cheapie Canon lens that is effectively an 80mm. I prefer lenses that are in the effective range of 70-200mm. For the 10D, that would be 44-125mm actual focal length. A 35-135mm zoom would probably work well and an 85mm prime would be a good choice. Good lenses in this range will not be cheap.
