Thanks for the tutorial. I am always looking for better techniques. I will adopt this patch tool for under the eyes technique.
I am painting in the gausian blur with the history brush on a seperate layer. It seems more logical to me than erasing it after.

Also I set gausian blur at 3% without changing the opacity later.
