i shoot that way fairly often myself, i.e., my large mola low and angled up with foamcore above it in kind of a clamshell setup. the bounce from the foamcore fills in so you don't end up with that horror movie look to the image.

mola workshop sounds pretty cool. plus, with mister mola himself!
