Hi Eldor,

Sorry for the crytic explanation. I'm fighting off a wicked head cold and am under the influence of Nyquil. Here is the sequence of events.

1. Set up one strobe (600 watt/sec) shot through white umbrella.
2. Set up one large, white muslin.
3. Placed model (5-year old girl for pageant photos) on muslin.
4. Shot many photos.
5. Downloaded photos to laptop in hotel room and they looked very, very orange. I adjusted the color as best I could on the LCD screen but they still looked like hell.
6. On the off-chance that it was an LCD issue, I emailed the photo to Walmart to have an 8x10 print made for the girl's mom. Now, before you hire a hitman because I used Walmart, she needed it immediately and it was the only lab nearby. I was out of town for the shoot and didn't have any other choice. The shots were for a beauty pageant.
7. That being said, the print from Wally World sucked too. I then went out to my Explorer, fired up my laptop and edited the photo yet some more to try and get the orange out. I then tried again. Still orange but not as bad. She wasn't able to use the photo for the "photogenic" competition but she did win "best portfolio" with it. It was just too orange for the headshot competition.
8. They were shot in .JPG (accidently because I always shoot RAW).

I hope that helps a bit. I should have posted more information in the initial post and I apologize for that.

You can be sure that next time I will be double-checking the mode to make sure I'm shooting raw.

Good day!

Mike
