You can use any type of neutral fabric, though I've found white to be the most useful. Something like a light weight nylon is good. I picked up a nylon that has some stretch to it and had a friend of mine sew some pockets into the corners. Since it stretches, I was able to have her make the panels slightly smaller than the frames. The corners slip over them and the tension helps keep the panels taut.
