I've only had mine a little over a month. Best advice...shoot, shoot, shoot. You will love this camera in no time.
Since I upgraded to Photoshop CS2, everything is done in NEF. I don't bother with NEF+JPG. I leave the white bal & sharpening at the default values. You cannot beat the Adobe Bridge for processing.
I use the 24-120 for general outdoor work & a f2.8 for indoors.
For focus, I generally use Group Dynamic & have not been happy with Dynamic area AF w/closest subject.
