Shooting outside is tricky, because the face can be overlit (model sqints) or poorlly lit (shadows on face). I always have a Reflector and a defuser for outside, which I rarely do outside shoots, but have had very good luck, if you would like to come over and do one together, I will line up a Model we both can shoot, just let me know..
Also when are you going to Hawaii? It looks like we may be going to the same island in August. It would be cool if we went at the same time, I can round us some Models....
