You said you have a D100, and that camera supposedly does have multiple exposure capability. How you could accidentally turn that on/off I don't know...and maybe you didn't. Maybe your camera is flaking and going into that mode on its own. But this is not a memory card issue, I can almost guarantee that.
I don't own a D100, but a quick search on DPReview showed folks saying that it is capable of multiple exposure...but of course nobody said how to do it. And I pulled the D100 user manual and don't see it listed in the index.

Thanks, I will look into that. Its a crazy world when it comes to these cameras. A d200 seems to be in my future, I just dont know how soon. I really dont want to buy a back up camera before I buy the d200.
