Haven't shot Nikon in years, but if you want the best possibly shots, go with Nikon Glass.
The problem with a question like this, is that you will undoubtly find people who say they are happy with the off-brand Lenses. You want to believe them or do you want the best possible Glass?
It's hard to ask someone if they think you will be happy with sub-par equipmeent, maybe you will and maybe you won't...
