WE have no photo stores that sell lighting. I know I can go to the web, but are there any good ones in Chicago?

Helix Camera and Video in Chicago. They have multiple locations, but their main store is on Racine in Chicago. They've got an excellent rental department and know how to take care of pro customers. They rent Speedotron, Profoto, Elinchrom, Hensel, and Visatek. They also carry spare parts and are very, very knowledgable.

The above basically means that they know their stuff and can help you make a decision. Their prices are very competitive with B&H and Adorama. Chicago is one of the few cities where I don't transport all my gear to if I've got a job there. I just call Helix and reserve what I need.
