For all its faults the D-100 is a capable camera, even today, depending on what your shooting and where the images are going. As with any camera its best to read the manual and practice. I cant tell you how many people I have seen at workshops that dont know how to set the white balance, or custom white balance. To many people take the camera out of the box and expect it to be spot on everytime. I dont know of any camera that are like that, or any product for that manner. I had 2 D-100's for some time and I got great results from it. The biggest weak link I found was noise, but I learned to work around the cameras capabilites. To this very day I am still making money on many stock images that where taken with the D-100. I have not owned one for over a year, but I have made about $11,000 off that camera this year alone. I shoot Canon now and I am happy with the results, although I have had more build quality issues with Canon, as well as 2 warranty repairs on one of my bodies. looking back, I never had a single issue with either of my Nikon bodies, EVER. So I still sit on the fence. The D-200 is should be right up your alley when you want to upgrade. They are slow to release products, but when they do they are usually top notch.

Now as for the pc sync, just go to ebay and by on of those wireless transmitters. The no name deals cost like $30 and last forever. I have 3, just for backup, which I have never needed. They do not have all the features or range as the Pocket Wizards, but they are cheap and do almost everything most people want, and they weigh next to nothing.

The tilt issue has me puzzled, never heard that before. I would love to see an image that is showing this problem. Good luck with your issues.....
