Well gang in about a week another Nikon Photographer will be laying to rest his Nikon gear in favor of Canon. I got a deal on a Canon 20D outfit that I just couldn't pass up and so I took it.

It is interesting to note that 12 years ago when I was shooting with manual focus equipment, I was using Canon gear (specifically the Canon F1 with an A1 as backup). Back then, Canon was innovative and actually listened to the people who used their equipment and then they got complacent and started to turn a blind eye to the folks who put them where they were at the time and I was looking for something new and fresh when autofocus came out and so I gave Nikon a try with an N90S and later when it hit the market an F5 which I still have today and I am loath to even think of letting it go but I am going to because it is time for me to put the past behind me and move on.

From everything I have seen, whatever they are doing Canon is doing it right and they keep doing it right time and time again and Nikon just keeps slipping further and further into the abyss until one day if they don't wake up and get their act together, they may very well become a memory. I am tired of being on the loosing team so I am saying adios to Nikon and hello Canon and I think I have made the right decision both now and for the future and if any Nikon to Canon converts want to share their storied (both good and bad) I would love to hear them.

Once I make it through the learning curve with my new gear I will post some images up on GG and give everyone my thoughts as to how things are going but I am very optimistic and I think rightly so.
