Scott,
This brings up a very good point. I don't care who you are. If you post something, ask for help (or not), and I think I can provide some input, I will. Some people think that because you've been around here for a long time that you're doing it right. They fear questioning you because they think you'll blast them for it.
Reminds me a lot of a recent tiff I had with a forum regular here. People rarely give him negative feedback. It probably has to do with the fact that they think he'll blast them. Well, he does. It's actually a shame.
I've often wondered if I get honest feedback for the same reason. My feeling is that if you think you see something you could improve in an image I post and you can say it constructively, I wanna hear it. I don't care if you've got 2 posts or 2 thousand. However, if you make comments and give no reason for them and your work shows the same things you're telling me not to do, I'll hand you your a$$.
I've often considered posting here as a different person with my images just to see the different reactions I would get.
Scott, I know you. You're on the up and up. I would like to think that you feel the same way I do about critiques. It's sad when others don't take the same approach we do. Kinda hinders the whole learning environment I've come to know and love here on GG.
Just my two cents.
Mike
