Thanks for the lengthy advise. One reason I wanted a non-zoom lens is that they make sharper images than zoom lenses. I already have 18-70mm and 70-300mm zooms. I usually use 70-300mm for pictures like what I posted in this thread. I thought it would be better if I had a non-zoom 200mm or something.
