Come to my upcoming workshop...."Making models do the poses that make everyone think they are hot" and I'll fill you in. Its a 2 day seminar, only costs you $ 499.00 and fills you in on all of the little tricks I have learned. Coming soon to a city near you.

Seriously, perhaps the best way is to sit down with the model BEFORE a shoot and explain what you are trying to accomplish and show her examples in print of the looks and attitude you need to make the shoot work.

If she can't do these over coffee the day before the shoot, then its NOT going to happen the day of the shoot.

The simple fact is that its better to find out the model can't handle it BEFORE the shoot then at the time of the shoot. I give models magazines and website links and tell them to take a look at them, and them to get naked or in lingerie in front of a mirror and practice the poses at home. If they can't, or won't, do it in the privacy of their own home, they won't do it on camera.

Then its up to you to simply say, "Thanks, but I don't think this is going to work out and we won't be able to shoot." Don't spend time trying to make glamour images with a model thats not into it, or capable of carrying it out. Doesn't mean she is not a sweet person..it just means she didn't connect with you or herself and she can't pull it off. Next.....

If modeling were so easy, every pretty girl would be a Playmate.

But here is a real live Playmate that doesnt need any help with posing, the fabulous Lani Todd, Miss December 2002.
