For the most part, 20d owners (JIMMYD PAY ATTENTION) should not be cursing themselves out for having a 20d or just purchasing a 20d right now for what else is out there.

The 5d is a little bit larger, full frame, high megapixels and all the other jazz listed there, but its hard to fathom some jobs you can't do with a 20d right now. If the price were $1,000 lower then ok maybe you could kick yourself. But right now, I have to say for what your getting on the 5d and the price difference thats about what you would expect to be paying. Full frame could not be found for under $5,000 until now. And your looking at 12.8 megapixels now, these are things that cost a premium. But the 20d does the job.

And, a side note. Cause everyone is asking me this question, I am not upset by this price as a Photographer. IE: Wedding photographers do not like it when you show up at a wedding and some uncle or somebody has the exact camera equipment as you or better. You have trouble saying why you as the hired photographer can demand a price when "Uncle bob has the same thing and can take the same picture."

Now of course, as a photographer, we all know that we know something more then Uncle Bob and even the same equipment could not yield the same image to them.... however, these are usually wasted breath on the frugal minded. But with this camera, your pointing towards the old days of photography. Pro's can now once again be categorized by the equipment they have. Uncle Bob wouldn't shoot a wedding with a Hassy. The old "the pro gives you a better image" was without question back then cause pro's have "all those fancy things".

$3200 is a little more then the average enthusiast or amateur would be willing to spend on a body with 20d's out there. And for all those who have 20d's and other camera which will fall under the same trend, your camera is going to hold some more value. How many times have photographers tried to put a price on their equipment that they bought for $2500 and are trying to sell for $1,000 and they can't cause something came out better for $1300?

So, with this higher pricing, as a photographer....there are upsides. And honestly it was getting to the point that one would expect in a few years a camera like a 1ds Mk II to be priced at what, $3,000? Cause of cameras like 20d's being able to do the job and at an affordable price. Sadly, I think it will be the all time home run winner of affordable digital SLR that can do almost anything.

And yeah, some people still have them, and some people can still swing a rebate on them and great prices.

HOWEVER..... I would suggest calling (800) 321-4726 ....ask for Juan, mention GarageGlamour and Rolando Gomez....he will give you the best price you can get anywhere in .... the world
