Typically the best size for viewing on GG is a height of 550 pixels. The file size will usually be 50 to 100K which will give good detail and allow less JPG compression. Your file size is 8k, which doesn't give enough detail. If you don't have a premium GG membership, then you'll need to have the photo on a server under your control as GG limits the size in the portfolios.
