A few ways to do this but the generic one is this.....

Rubber Stamp Tool (Pick a brush size that can easily be handled)

Opacity 30 percent (approximately)

Pick a clean area directly underneath and define it. Move the brush up to the shadow area and start blending the rubber stamped defined area over the place you want to blend in. You will see it smoothly start to blend in.

Practice practice practice and this technique will be like clock work.....
