If the only purpose for this machine is digital camera image processing, then get your butt over to the Apple store and get yourself a dual 2.5 GHz Power Mac G5 with about 4GB of RAM and a 20" cinema displays. If you want to totally pimp it out, go for 8GB of RAM, a pair of 30" displays and the NVIDIA graphics card.
It can all be yours with Photoshop, starting at about $6K.
